After a standout attacking performance that included three goals in two matches, No. 9 Gannon women's soccer's Olivia Dixon (Erie, Pa./Cathedral Prep) has been selected as the PSAC Women's Soccer Offensive Athlete of the Week.
Dixon totaled three goals across the week as the Golden Knights earned a 3–0 win over Edinboro and a 2–2 draw at Slippery Rock in a matchup between the top two teams in the PSAC West standings. Against Edinboro, Dixon led the way with two second-half goals, marking a season-high and her first multi-goal performance of the year.
She then added another goal on the road at Slippery Rock to help Gannon secure a key point.
Across the two matches, Dixon led the Golden Knights in attacking production, finishing with 12 total shots and seven shots on goal while consistently stretching back lines and driving possession into the final third.
This marks Dixon's first career PSAC weekly honor and is the ninth weekly award earned by the Golden Knights this season.
Gannon finished the week at 1-0-1 and will conclude the regular season on Wednesday, Nov. 5, when the Golden Knights host Clarion at 6:00 pm at McConnell Family Stadium. Gannon has already clinched a PSAC Tournament berth, and depending on Wednesday's results across the league, could enter postseason play as the No. 1, No. 2, or No. 3 seed.
The PSAC Tournament is scheduled to begin on Saturday, Nov. 8.
