Gannon Places Five Players on D2CCA All-Atlantic Region Teams

Emanuel and Respecki now three-time first-team honorees

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Gannon women's soccer team joined West Chester with five players named to the 2025 D2CCA All-Atlantic Region Women's Soccer Teams on Tuesday. The Golden Knights finished the year with a 16-3-2 record.

Gannon list of honorees included three first-team selections – Grace Emanuel (Erie, Pa./McDowell), Elle Fadale and Brooklyn Respecki (McKean, Pa./General McLane) – along with second-team honorees Destinee Robertson (Lacey, Washington/Timberline) and Hannah Shepard (Erie, Pa./McDowell). Indiana (Pa.)'s Elle Smith was named the Atlantic Region Player of the Year.

Emanuel and Respecki, a pair of highly-decorated juniors, have now been named to the first team in each of their first three years. Both were previously named to the All-PSAC West first team for the third time. Respecki finished second on the team in scoring with 10 goals and 8 assists for 28 points despite missing three games. A second team D2CCA All-American as a freshman, the forward has climbed to fourth in both career goals (37) and career points (107) at Gannon while ranking third in career assists (33).

Emanuel is a two-time first team D2CCA All-American who totaled 6 goals and 10 assists for 22 points. She tied for the PSAC lead in assists. Like Respecki the midfielder ranks among Gannon's career leaders. With 33 goals and 20 assists for 86 career points, Emanuel is sixth in career goals, eighth in career assists, and sixth in career points.

Fadale enjoyed her finest season as a senior finishing with 16 goals and 1 assist for 33 points. Also a three-time first team All-PSAC honoree, the midfielder ranked second in the PSAC in goals and is tied for eighth in Division II. The 16 goals rank third in a season at Gannon. Fadale departs ranked tied for fifth in career goals (34) and seventh in career points (73).

Robertson and Shepard represent a strong back end that limited opponents to just 18 goals while recording nine shutouts. Robertson, a senior who joined the Golden Knights a year ago, was a two-time All-PSAC West first team selection and a first team D2CCA All-Atlantic Region pick.

Shepard was limited to 14 matches due to injuries but the junior was accorded first team All-PSAC West honors for the third straight year. She was a second team D2CCA All-Atlantic Region selection a year ago, as well. She contributed 2 goals and an assist.
