COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ditte Petersen (Dianalund, Denmark/Sorø Akademi Skole) placed third in the individual standings and the Gannon women's golf team finished fourth in the team race on Tuesday in the final round of the two-day ODU Champions of Women's Golf Fall Classic.
Petersen, a senior, carded a 4-over-par 74 on Tuesday and finished with a 36-hole total of 7-over-par 147 at the par-70 Champions Golf Course. The Golden Knights closed with a two-day total of 623 to place fourth among 15 teams.
Tiffin won the tournament with a 599 total as Lisa Marie Schumacher shot 1-under 139 to win the individual title by seven shots.
Another Gannon senior, Andrew Martinez, finished with a 36-hole total of 155 (79-76) as she tied for 13th place. Junior
Emily Donahue (Grove City, Pa./Grove City) shot a 79 on Tuesday and tied for 29th with a 160. Sophomore
Cloe Mateo (Sabadell, Spain/Montcau la Mola) tied for 33rd after shooting an 81 to finish at 161.
Freshman
Alexandria LeCureux (Clarkston, Mich./Clarkston) tied for 43rd with a 164, and
Samantha Turk (Euclid, Ohio/Villa Angela-St. Joseph), playing as an individual, added a 168 after two rounds of 84. Freshman Gunnhildur Gunnarasdottir shot a solid 82 on Tuesday.
