BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – In its first two games of the season, the Gannon women's lacrosse team has made several big comebacks and played in two action-packed contests that came down to the final minute.

However, the Golden Knights (0-2) are still seeking their first victory. They will try to pull off that win on Saturday at 1 p.m. in a non-conference game against PSAC East opponent Bloomsburg at Steph Pettit Stadium.

The Huskies, who were picked to finish fifth in the PSAC East in the coaches' preseason poll, will be playing their home opener. Bloomsburg (1-0) opened the season with a 20-4 road victory over Holy Family University in Philadelphia on Wednesday.

Jennifer Pawlowski's team has shown an ability to rally from big deficits in the first two games.

In the season opener at Georgian Court, the Golden Knights rallied twice from three-goal deficits to take a 10-9 lead in the fourth quarter before they dropped a 13-11 game.

On Wednesday against Molloy, Gannon trailed 5-0 but rallied to take a 10-8 lead in the third quarter. The game was tied 12-12 before the Lions scored the winning goal with 1:06 to go on a one-player advantage.

By the numbers:
- Junior midfielder Caroline Stevens (Syracuse, N.Y./Liverpool) has been a standout for Gannon. She leads the team with nine goals and 10 points through two games. Stevens struck for six goals and had 12 draw controls against Molloy while falling one draw control short of the school record. She has 18 draw controls on the season.
- Senior midfielder Macy Hepditch (Waterloo, Ontario/Resurrection Catholic) has four goals and six draw controls. Madyson Schwartz (Philadelphia, Pa./Franklin Towne Charter), Charlie Hunter (Boston, N.Y./Hamburg), and Angie George (Brecksville, Ohio/Archbishop Hoban) have three goals apiece.
- Junior Haleigh Manning (Milton, Ga./Cambridge) has been in goal for both games and has 23 saves.
- For Bloomsburg, sophomore Julia Cote has a team-high seven points on four goals and three assists. Senior Madison Coyle also has four goals.
- Huskies junior goalie Lauren Foley had 11 saves against Holy Family while allowing just four goals.
