The Gannon University women's lacrosse team closed out its 2025 campaign on Saturday afternoon, falling 12-8 at Seton Hill. Senior Caroline Stevens (Syracuse, N.Y./Liverpool) made history in her final appearance, setting a new single-season program record with 107 draw controls, surpassing the previous mark of 102 set by Leilani King in 2017.
Gannon mounted a spirited second-half rally after trailing 8-1 at halftime. The Golden Knights outscored Seton Hill 7-4 over the final two quarters, using a surge that saw them pull within three goals late in the fourth. Charlie Hunter (Boston, N.Y./Hamburg) fueled the comeback with a hat trick and an assist, while Ella Todd (Maple Ridge, British Columbia/Maple Ridge Secondary) contributed two goals and three assists. Stevens, who recorded eight draw controls and scored once, helped Gannon dominate possession down the stretch. Alyssa Lerch (Coraopolis, Pa./Moon Area) and Rayla Smith (Pittsburgh, Pa./Plum) also found the back of the net during the rally.
Todd capped her season as Gannon's overall points leader, finishing with 69 points on 31 goals and 38 assists. Hunter led the team in goals with 44, while Stevens wrapped up her standout year with 42 goals and 14 assists in addition to her record-setting draw control total. Smith added 23 goals and 30 draw controls, and Lerch closed her season with 10 goals.
In goal, Haleigh Manning (Milton, Ga./Cambridge) finished the year with 133 saves and a .478 save percentage across 13 appearances.
