ERIE, Pa. – The No. 5-ranked Gannon women's soccer team already has locked up a PSAC Tournament playoff berth, but the Golden Knights are still pursuing the PSAC West regular-season title and the No. 1 Western seed for the playoffs.
 
Coach Colin Petersen's Gannon team will face Clarion on Wednesday night at Memorial Stadium. With a win and an IUP loss or tie, GU would clinch the PSAC West regular-season title. Gannon leads IUP (8-1-3) by three points in the standings, 30-27. The Golden Knights and Crimson Hawks will play in the regular-season finale on Saturday at Indiana.
 
Grace Emanuel (Erie, Pa./McDowell) scored two goals and Brooklyn Respecki (McKean, Pa./General McLane) added one for the Golden Knights in the first matchup with Clarion this season as GU claimed a 3-0 victory at McConnell Family Stadium. Gannon outshot Clarion 40-3 in that game.
 
Gannon has outscored its opponents 34-5 with 11 shutouts this season. The Golden Knights have outshot the opposition 371-58.
