A dozen seniors who have helped the Gannon University acrobatics & tumbling program reach new heights will be honored on Saturday as part of Senior Day.
The Golden Knights' 12 seniors will be recognized after the final event of the competition against Adrian (Mich.) College on Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Highmark Events Center.

Maddie Olsen (Phoenix, Ariz./Chandler Prep),
Maria Ondrejko (Scenery Hill, Pa./Bishop Canevin),
Jema Reasoner (Collierville, Tenn./Collierville),
Bethany Schirz (Reno, Nev./Edward C. Reed),
Alexis Tosado (Sparks, Nev./Edward C. Reed), and
Addy Womeldorph (Parker, Texas/Allen).
The senior class illustrates the range of Gannon's recruiting efforts in acrobatics in tumbling. The class includes two student-athletes from Pennsylvania, Nevada, and Texas, and one each from Arizona, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, and Tennessee.
Their efforts have been integral in Gannon's rise to 2022 NCATA National runner-up and the No. 2-ranked team in the 2023 Preseason Poll.
Coach
Brandy Duren's team has been off for two weeks since beating No. 3 Azusa Pacific and losing to No. 5 Oregon during the Golden Knights' western trip over spring break. Gannon enters the competition with a 3-2 record after seeing their three-meet winning streak end against Oregon.
After opening the season with a loss to No. 6 Limestone, Gannon defeated West Liberty, Kutztown, and Azusa Pacific. The Knights competed against Kutztown on Feb. 18 in their only home meet of the season to this point.
Gannon's point totals have ranged from 253.74 to 267.760 this season.
Adrian hired head coach Emily Buffington in mid-January. The Bulldogs forfeited their first meet to Concordia University Wisconsin on Feb. 12. The Bulldogs (0-2) have scored 233.770 and 224.085 in their only two contests.
