It's time for some late-night acrobatics & tumbling action.
The Gannon University acrobatics & tumbling has traveled West for Spring Break, and the Golden Knights will compete in the first of two tough matchups with a showdown at Azusa Pacific on Monday night in Azusa, Calif. The dual meet is scheduled to begin at 10 p.m. Eastern time (7 p.m. Pacific) at the Felix Event Center.
Gannon enters the dual with a 2-1 record with consecutive wins over West Liberty and Kutztown after dropping the season opener at Limestone.
Gannon was ranked No. 2 in the preseason poll of the National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association. Azusa Pacific was ranked No. 3 in that poll.
The Cougars opened the season with a loss to No. 5 Oregon by a score of 272.510-269.275 on Feb. 17.

Brandy Duren's Gannon team will face that same Oregon team on Friday in Eugene, Ore., in the second meet of the Golden Knights' spring trip.
Both scores in the Azusa Pacific-Oregon meet were very strong for season openers of NCATA teams.
Gannon logged its season-high total of 267.760 in claiming a 30-point-plus victory over Kutztown in the Knights' home opener on Feb. 18.
RECENT RESULTS VS. AZUSA
Gannon had a 10-2 record in the 2022 season and finished as the national runner-up to seven-time defending champion Baylor.
The Golden Knights met the Cougars of Azusa Pacific twice in 2022, and the teams split the two meets.
Azusa defeated Gannon 275.600-269.965 during the regular season during Gannon's 2022 spring trip.
The Golden Knights bounced back to defeat the Cougars 267.345-262.245 in the national semifinals when Azusa Pacific was ranked No. 2 in the nation.
Gannon did not face Azusa in 2021.
AWARD WINNER
During the recent week when Gannon defeated both West Liberty and Kutztown, the Knights'
Layna Bergeron (Johnston, R.I./La Salle Academy) was named an NCATA Honorable Mention Freshman
of the Week.
Bergeron is a 5-foot-6 base/back from Rhode Island.
