The National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA) has announced the 2026 competition schedule, officially unveiling the upcoming slate for the Golden Knights under first-year head coach
Addy Womeldorph.
"Each competition this season presents a valuable opportunity for the team to grow and build confidence," said Womeldorph. "This season's schedule will push us from day one and prepare us for where we want to be by the end of the season. Our focus is not just on competing, but on developing strength, resilience, and cohesion as a program as the year progresses."
The Golden Knights' eight-meet regular season features an even split of four home and four away competitions, highlighted by a challenging mix of nationally ranked opponents and regional rivals.
Gannon opens the campaign on February 9 at Quinnipiac University, the same team that spoiled the Golden Knights' Senior Day last season. The home opener follows on February 20 when Duquesne makes its first-ever visit to the Highmark Events Center.
The Golden Knights remain home on February 28 for a tri-meet with Buffalo State and Trine University, the same programs they hosted and defeated in 2025. The home slate continues with a March 18 meet against Mary Hardin-Baylor at 6 p.m., before the Knights head west over spring break for a marquee matchup against national runner-up Oregon on March 6.
Gannon returns to Erie for a March 10 meet against Glenville State, then travels to Fairmont State on March 29 and concludes the regular season with a matchup at Canisius on April 9.
The 2026 campaign marks Gannon's final season competing under the NCATA structure before Acrobatics & Tumbling officially transitions to NCAA sponsorship in 2027.
The Golden Knights finished the 2025 season with a 3–5 overall record, highlighted by their Synchronized Toss unit qualifying for the NCATA Individual Event Finals, a milestone that showcased the program's continued growth and national presence within the sport.
The season concludes with the NCATA National Championships, hosted by Azusa Pacific University from April 23–26 in Azusa, California. The top eight teams in the country will qualify for the championship field, which follows a single-elimination, bracket-style format to determine the national champion.
The National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA) will announce the 2026 National Championship matchups and at-large event qualifiers following the completion of the regular season and conference championships in mid-April.
"We're excited to face strong opponents, embrace the process, and continue raising the standard for Gannon Acrobatics and Tumbling."
