The Gannon University Acrobatics & Tumbling team wrapped up its 2025 season on the national stage, competing in the synchronized toss event at the NCATA National Championships on Sunday morning at the Elmen Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
The Golden Knights faced a highly competitive field, taking on Quinnipiac, Iona, Oregon, and Baylor. Baylor captured its 10th consecutive national title on Saturday night, defeating Oregon to secure the program's milestone championship, and claimed the synchronized toss title with a final score of 9.550.
Prior to this year, Gannon had established itself as a powerhouse in the synchronized toss event, winning three consecutive NCATA event national championships. The Golden Knights captured the title in 2022 with a score of 9.700, followed by victories in 2023 (9.475) and 2024 (9.600).

The appearance marked the final competition under head coach
Brandy Duren, who has been instrumental in building the Golden Knights into a nationally recognized program. Under Duren's leadership, Gannon became a dominant force in the synchronized toss and consistently ranked among the top programs in the nation.
During her time at Gannon University, Duren led the Golden Knights to the National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA) National Championship Finals twice and guided the program to an impressive seven NCATA event national championship trophies. Gannon captured titles in the Duo Pyramid, Heat 1 Toss, and Duo Toss in 2022; the Duo Pyramid and Duo Toss in 2023; and the Duo Pyramid and Duo Toss again in 2024.
The Golden Knights concluded the 2025 season with a 3–5 overall record, earning all three of their victories at home inside the newly renovated Highmark Events Center to finish 3–1 on their home floor. Facing a high-caliber schedule loaded with nationally ranked opponents, Gannon battled against some of the nation's top programs, including No. 4 Oregon and No. 3 Quinnipiac. The Golden Knights remained nationally ranked throughout the season, climbing as high as No. 10 in the final NCATA regular-season poll.
