ERIE, Pa. – Gannon soccer standout
James Pool (Hastings, England/Claverham) has added another honor to his postseason awards list.

Pool, a senior midfielder, has been named to the United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-America Second Team. The organization released its NCAA Division II men's and women's teams on Friday. He was the only Gannon player selected.
Pool has been a standout in the classroom and on the soccer field for Gannon. He has a 3.74 cumulative grade-point average as an Accounting/Finance major.
On the field, he tied for the PSAC and Gannon lead with 17 goals and was second with 40 points as Gannon advanced to the NCAA Elite Eight. He ranked fifth in goals and seventh in points in all of Division II.
Earlier, Pool was named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Team.
He also made the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association All-America First Team and the D2CCA Atlantic Region All-Atlantic Region First Team. In addition, Pool landed spots on the United Soccer Coaches All-Region Second Team and the All-PSAC West First Team.
