First-place women's soccer team looks to extend unbeaten streak at Pitt-Johnstown

Gannon enters Wednesday afternoon road game with 8 consecutive games without a loss

The Gannon University women's soccer team will look to remain in first place in the PSAC West and extend its unbeaten streak on Wednesday afternoon at Pitt-Johnstown.

The Golden Knights are tied for first place in the PSAC West with a 5-0-2 record and 17 standings points. They have a 6-1-2 overall record after going eight games without a loss since falling in their season opener.

Gannon is coming off a 2-1 comeback win over California at home on Saturday afternoon.

Coach Colin Petersen's squad will visit Pitt-Johnstown on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m.

The Mountain Cats bring a 3-4-2 overall record into the game and are tied for fourth in the PSAC West with a 3-3-1 record and 10 points in the standings.

UPJ has lost back-to-back games to IUP (4-2) and Seton Hill (3-1) after winning three PSAC West games in a row.

Last year: Gannon swept UPJ by scores of 3-2 and 2-1.
