The Chi Alpha Sigma national scholar-athlete society has inducted 80 Gannon student-athletes for the Class of 2023.
 
Chi Alpha Sigma is the first and only nonprofit organization that was established to recognize college student-athletes who excel both on and off the field. Founded in 1996 by then DePauw University football coach Nick Mourouzis, Chi Alpha Sigma provides outstanding student-athletes with an opportunity to become connected within a fraternal association that aligns their educational and athletic successes for a lifetime.
 
The honor society recognizes college student-athletes who receive a varsity letter in their sport achieve junior academic standing or higher after their fifth full-time semester and earn a 3.4 or higher cumulative grade point average.

Student-athletes who are inducted maintain their Chi Alpha Sigma designation throughout and after their collegiate career. Once students are inducted, they are members of Chi Alpha Sigma and do not need to be inducted in future years. (Not all current Gannon members are listed below.) Chi Alpha Sigma has inducted 437 Gannon student-athletes since 2018.
