It could be a big weekend for the Gannon women's soccer team.
With a win at Seton Hill on Saturday, the first-place Golden Knights would clinch a playoff spot and a first-round home game in the PSAC Tournament.
However, getting a victory will be a challenge against a tough Seton Hill team.
Gannon (9-2-3 overall) enters the game with an 8-1-3 record and 27 standings points in the PSAC West with four regular-season games remaining. Mercyhurst is right behind with a 7-1-4 mark and 25 points.
Seton Hill (6-2-5 overall) is in third place at 4-2-5 with 17 points, while fourth-place Slippery Rock has a 3-2-7 conference record and 16 points.
The top four teams in the PSAC West advance the playoffs, and the top two teams host first-round PSAC Tournament games.
Seton Hill tied Gannon 1-1 at McConnell Family Stadium on September 17th. Since that game, the Griffins are 3-1-2 with the only loss coming to Slippery Rock.
Coach
Colin Petersen's Golden Knights are coming off a 2-0 home-field victory against Edinboro on Wednesday.
