Gannon leads 13-2-4
Gannon has dominated the series with Seton Hill of late to build a 13-2-4 advantage in the all-time series. The Golden Knights are 7-0-2 in the last nine meetings with the Griffins. The 2-2 tie earlier this season snapped a five-game winning streak for the Golden Knights. Gannon and Seton Hill met three times last year, with the Golden Knights winning all three all by a goal. They won last year's regular season contests by scores of 2-1 in two overtimes in Greensburg and then 1-0 at McConnell Family Stadium. The third meeting came in the PSAC Quarterfinals at McConnell Family Stadium with Gannon prevailing 2-1.

Last Meeting: Sept. 10, 2022 – at Gannon 2, Seton Hill 2 | RECAP
Seton Hill jumped out to a 1-0 lead just 67 seconds into the match in the PSAC West opener for both teams. Gannon knotted the score at 1-1 on a Sergio Del Castillo's (Madrid, Spain) goal in the 41st minute and then went on top 2-1 on Pau Ferrer's (Valencia, Spain/ISES Isabel de Villena) first career goal at 48:56. Seton Hill tied the match at 66:54 and neither team scored after that. Gannon held a wide 20-4 advantage in shots, although it was just 6-3 in shots on goal.

ERIE, Pa. – Gannon and Seton Hill square off for the second time in 2022 with sole possession of second place in the PSAC West on the line. The Golden Knights and Griffins battled to a 2-2 toe on September 10 at McConnell Family Stadium. Now the venue changes to Dick's Sporting Goods Field in Greensburg, Pa. on Saturday, October 15.

Gannon is 10-3-1 overall and 4-1-1 in the PSAC West following a 1-0 win over Slippery Rock on Wednesday night. Seton Hill is also 4-1-1 in league play and 6-7-1 overall. The Griffins have run off four straight wins following Wednesday's 3-1 win over Pitt-Johnstown. The Golden Knights saw a six-game winning streak snapped last Saturday with a 4-0 loss to No. 6 Mercyhurst.

The regular season is winding down with just four matches remaining for the Golden Knights. All are against PSAC West competition and the next three are on the road before Gannon concludes the regular season hosting Pitt-Johnstown on Saturday, October 29.

Mercyhurst holds down first place in the Western Division with 15 points with Gannon and Seton Hill two points behind with 13.

Gannon will look to regain its scoring form after finding the back of the net just once in the last two matches. Prior to that head coach Billy Colton's team had scored 37 goals in its previous five matches. Gannon is still ranked second in Division II in goals scored (48) and third in goals per game (3.43).

Gannon outshot The Rock 19-3 as freshman Samuel Alarcon (Madrid, Spain/Colegio el Valle II) recorded his second shutout.

Seton Hill won its fourth straight match with a 3-1 decision at Pitt-Johnstown on Wednesday. The Griffins scored early in the seventh minute but found themselves tied when UPJ scored in the final minute of the half. Joseph Spencer scored a pair of goals in the second half for the win.
