ASHLAND, Ohio — The Gannon men's soccer team held tough in a defensive battle for much of the game, but ultimately fell in exhibition action to Ashland 1-0 Friday evening.
A scoreless draw with limited offensive opportunities for much of the game, Ashland snuck in what wound up being the game winner in the 80th minute.
The contest saw just 13 total shots and only five put on goal. Gannon keeper
Georgios Koutroulis (Monchengladbach, Germany/Bischofliche Marienschule) made three saves in net.
The Golden Knights continue their spring season with another exhibition in Ohio next week, facing Tiffin on Tuesday at a neutral site in Perrysburg.
