ERIE, Pa. — The long layoff for the Gannon football team is finally approaching its end, as the spring 2021 schedule was announced Thursday.
The Golden Knights will play four games in the span of six weeks, including a pair at home in Erie at Veterans Stadium.
SPRING 2021 FOOTBALL SCHEDULE
Gannon will open up at home on March 20 against Davenport, then kick off a stretch of three games in three weeks with a return trip to Michigan to face the Panthers on Friday, April 9.
Another trip to Michigan follows the next week, as the Knights will head to Hillsdale April 17, and they'll close out the season back at Veterans Stadium with a meeting against crosstown foe Mercyhurst April 24
The NCAA Division II tournament, as well as PSAC regular season and postseason play, has been canceled for football in 2020-21.
Currently, no spectators are allowed in attendance at sporting events hosted by Gannon due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Access to the facility is limited to participating teams and those workers whose duties are essential to the contest.
