ERIE, Pa. – The Gannon football team battled Lock Haven through four quarters on Homecoming Weekend before the Bald Eagles pulled away for a 24-14 victory Saturday afternoon at McConnell Family Stadium.
Gannon (0-4, 0-2) rushed for 217 yards and controlled possession for 32:48, but Lock Haven capitalized on a third-quarter turnover and scored twice after halftime to secure the win.
The Bald Eagles opened the scoring on Tucker Teats' one-yard touchdown run early in the second quarter. Gannon answered with a 12-play, 93-yard drive that ended when Andre Underwood (Cincinnati, Ohio/Aiken) connected with Chazz Corley (Indianapolis, Ind./Warren Central) for a 16-yard touchdown, tying the game at 7-7 with 5:15 remaining in the half. Lock Haven added a 28-yard field goal before halftime to take a 10-7 lead.
