LATROBE, Pa. – The Gannon University women's swimming team won 12 of 15 events during a dual meet at Saint Vincent College on Saturday afternoon at the Resnik Pool.
 
Gannon won the dual meet with a convincing 161.50-99.50 advantage in the team scoring.
 
Silvija Taraska (Wickliffe, Ohio/Lake Catholic) and Chenay Dateline paced the Golden Knights with a pair of first place finishes during the meet. Taraska was the first to touch the wall in both the 50 and 100 freestyle events. Dateline took first in the 500 freestyle and 400 IM. Francesca Nemetz (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield Area) also had a big day for Gannon by winning the 200 butterfly and taking second in both the 100 butterfly and 200 IM.
 
Taraska was also part of both of Gannon's relay wins in the 200 medley and 200 free relays. Dateline swam the first leg of the 200 free relay.

Gannon will now have two weeks to prepare for a meet at NCAA Division I Youngstown State. The meet is set for a 12 noon start.
