EVENT NOTES
  • For the second straight day, Benedict set a trio of records — a Gannon program record, the PSAC Championship meet record, and the overall PSAC record — in a prelim race, just to do it all over again in the final. Friday's was the 100 back, where he turned in a 48.19 in the morning, then cut nearly two tenths off in the evening.
  • The win was Benedict's fourth overall of the championships, breaking a record for the Gannon men for titles in a single championship. His three individual titles tie him with Luke Curtis, who won three in 2011.
  • Bolmanski slashed nine seconds off his prelim time to finish five seconds ahead of third place and less than a second out of first. It also moved him up to second in Gannon's all-time top 10.
  • Decheck cut nearly two seconds off his personal best entering the week in the 100 back, coming in a 51.06 in the final to finish fourth. That also moves him into fifth on Gannon's top 10.
  • Alex Deemer's (Connoquenessing, Pa./Butler Area) 4:39.28 in the 500 free was the fourth-fastest time of the evening session, and Joey Deemer's (Connoquenessing, Pa./Butler Area) 4:41.39 was the sixth, but the duo had to settle for being the top two finishers in the B final to finish ninth and 10th.
