  • How It Happened: Gannon leads the all-time series 41-15 after picking up a 20-point win earlier this year at Clarion. The Knights haven't dropped a game vs. the Golden Eagles since 2016-17 and are 24-1 since the 2001-02 season against CU. At Clarion, Gannon beat the Golden Eagles 75-55 led by Tori Obenrader (Fryburg, Pa./North Clarion) who posted a 24 point, 14 rebound double-double. Chelsea Rourke (Gibsonia, Pa./Pine-Richland) and Sam Pirosko (Eastlake, Ohio/Eastlake North) added 14 and 11 points, respectively.
  • 2019-20 Preview: The Knights return home for the first of their final two regular season home games Wednesday night with a game vs. the bottom of the PSAC West pack, Clarion. Gannon split last week's play with a dominating win over cross-town rival Mercyhurst and a tight loss to No. 4/6 Indiana. Clarion has dropped their last four after picking up their fourth win of the year vs. Seton Hill. The Knights beat the Golden Eagles 75-55 earlier this year and look to sweep the season series Wednesday.

SCOUTING GANNON
  • Haley Tewes (Waterford, Mich./Waterford Kettering) was named the PSAC West Defensive Athlete of the Week for the fourth time this season as the conference announced the weekly awards. Tewes finished the week with 11 rebounds, four blocks, and four steals. She grabbed a team-high six boards vs. the Lakers and tallied a career-high four blocks. She also added three steals in the contest. She added another five boards and one steal at Indiana.
  • The Knights were 15-0 against opponents this season when leading at halftime. At Indiana, Gannon led 25-23 at the break, but fell 59-54 to break the streak. The fourth quarter saw two ties and five lead changes, but the Crimson Hawks found success on the foul line to earn the win.
  • Gannon's bench continues to impact both ends of the floor for the Knights. Emily Poling (Defiance, Ohio/Defiance) has stepped up for the bench guards over the last two weeks. She notched new career and season highs at Indiana. Poling dished out a season-high four assists helping the Gannon offense, while locking down on defense with a career-high four steals. Delaney Dogan (West Middlesex, Pa./West Middlesex) also tallied a career-high two assists in the contest. Gannon's bench has outscored its opponents' bench 13 times this year.

SCOUTING CLARION
