SERIES HISTORY
  • All-Time Series: Gannon leads 40-15
  • Last meeting: Feb. 27, 2019 – at Clarion – W, 62-60
  • Recap: The Knights have won all but one match up vs. the Golden Eagles since the 2001-02 season. Chelsea Rourke (Gibsonia, Pa./Pine-Richland) scored a team-high 15 points to lead the Knights. Tori Obenrader added nine points and eight boards. Both shot 50 percent from the floor.
  • 2019-20 Preview: Gannon is looking to rebound on the road this Wednesday vs. a 3-12 Clarion. The Knights went 2-1 last week with wins over Pitt-Johnstown and Seton Hill, but fell for the first time on their home court to a national ranked Indiana. The Golden Eagles are on a three-game losing streak dropping games to Seton Hill, Mercyhurst, and Pitt-Johnstown last week. Their only conference win this season was vs. Slippery Rock to open 2020 play. Both teams look to turn things around in Wednesday's meeting in Tippin Gym.
SCOUTING GANNON
  • Obenrader is on a six-game double-figure scoring streak. It is her second streak of the season with at least five games in double-figures. Obenrader has scored at least 10 points in all but one game this season. In her most recent performance, Obenrader scored a game-high 21 points vs. Indiana. She was the only player to break into double-digits. She added 14 points vs. Seton Hill, 20 at Pitt-Johnstown, 17 vs. Edinboro, 15 at Bloomsburg, and 11 at Mansfield. Her best performance of the season was a career-high 36 points and 12 boards vs. Fairmont State earlier this year.
  • With a strong start to PSAC play, three players are finding tremendous success for the Knights on the offensive end of the floor. Oberader leads Gannon with 16.1 ppg vs. PSAC opponents, while Haley Tewes adds 11.6 and Chelsea Rourke (Gibsonia, Pa./Pine-Richland) adds 11.2. Sam Pirosko is not far off with 9.1 ppg. Pirosko scored a career-high 13 points in two games last week helping Gannon to two wins.
  • Gannon continues to be one of the top teams in the conference in field goal percentage. The Knights are averaging 45.2 percent from the field ranking third among the PSAC members. Despite a 14-point loss to Indiana, Gannon shot over 40 percent vs. IUP. The Knights are 9-0 when shooting a higher percentage than their opponent and 5-0 when shooting 50 percent or higher. Boston McKinney (Bolivar, Ohio/Tuscarawas Valley) ranks fifth among the PSAC players with 4.7 assists per game. She has recorded at least five assists in nine games this season.
  • Obenrader ranks ninth overall in the PSAC with 17.6 points per game on 51.8 percent from the field, which sits at seventh in the ranks. She also ranks 11th with 7.3 rebounds per game.
