Women's Cross Country Finishes Fifth at the Doug Watts Invitational

The Short Story: Sarah Fiorello's (Lake View, N.Y./Frontier) 15th place paced the Gannon women's cross country team to a fifth place finish in their season opening race at the Doug Watts Open hosted by Edinboro.

EVENT NOTES

This was the first meet of the 2019 season for the Lady Knights.
Fiorello's 15th place finish is a new career-high finish in a 6k race.
Giambrone, O'Rourke, and Steele all made their career debut.

UP NEXT

The Knights will be back in action Sept. 14 at the Division II/III Challenge in Kutztown, Pennsylvania.
The meet is set to start at 9 a.m.
