  • The Short Story: Gannon closed the match on fire, setting new season highs in pyramid, tumbling and team events to put up their highest score of the year, but the Lady Knights ran into a worthy opponent in defending national runner-up Quinnipiac Saturday night at the Hammermill Center.

GAME NOTES
  • The Lady Knights set new season highs in the pyramid (29.30), tumbling (55.250) and team (95.10) events.
  • Those led to the best final score of the season for Gannon, as its 270.950 bested the 270.440 against King earlier this month.
  • Powering those numbers were some excellent individual heat scores, including season highs in inversion pyramid (9.85), open pyramid (9.90), 450 salto toss (9.55), duo tumbling pass (9.100), triple tumbling pass (9.150), aerial tumbling (9.875), 6 element tumbling (9.375) and open tumbling (9.700).
  • It was the third time in four meets this season that the Knights have matched up against a top-10 opponent. In the newest set of NCATA rankings released this week, the Bobcats came in fourth.
  • Seniors Lisa Wagaman (California, Md./Leonardtown), Sarah Guarriello (Erie, Pa./Fort LeBoeuf), Mikayla Vecchio (Cheswick, Pa./Deer Lakes), Olivia Tiano (Canyon Country, Calif./Canyon), Kelsey McGarvey (Erie, Pa./Villa Maria Academy), Sydney Pouliopoulos (Westford, Mass./Westford Academy) and Andrea Cygan (Butler, Pa./Butler) were honored after the meet.
