Gannon opened the dual with three straight wins, all coming by bonus points to build a 16-0 lead that held up through the first B team dual action of the season.

Paul Cantafio (West Seneca, N.Y./West Seneca West) rolled up the points on his way to a 17-5 major to start things off at 125 pounds. Andrew Ischo (Greenville, Pa./Reynolds) added a forfeit at 133, and Liam Babauta (Parkesburg, Pa./Octorara Area) turned in a 66-second pin at 141 to build the Golden Knights' early lead.
Nicolas Marsico (Kennedy Township, Pa./Montour) added another lopsided major at 165, matching Cantafio in scoring with a 17-5 win. Jacob Kallenborn (Port Allegany, Pa./Port Allegany) outdid both teammates, netting 20 in a 20-5 tech fall at 184. That started a run to end it, as Connor Sidoruk (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) won by forfeit at 197 and Travis Schmeling (Latrobe, Pa./Greater Latrobe) earned a 3-1 decision at 285 to close it out.
The Jayhawks entered the night ranked 19th as a team in the National Junior College Athletic Association national rankings.
