Gannon men's soccer looks to keep up its winning ways with two home matches this week. The Golden Knights welcome California (Pa.) to McConnell Family Stadium on Wednesday, Sept. 26 at 6:00 p.m. Gannon recently picked up its fourth straight shutout victory to remain unbeaten in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) play with a 4-0 home victory against Slippery Rock on September 23. Sophomore forward Sam Thornton (Rotherham, England/Wickersley School and Sports College) continues to dazzle offensively with six goals in his last four matches. California (Pa.) enters the match with a 1-2-3 overall record and a 0-2-0 mark in conference play following a narrow 1-0 defeat to Seton Hill on September 23. The Vulcans are led by Paul Young, Jr., who paces the team in goals (2) and points (5).

Water Polo Welcomes Mount San Antonio Friday in Senior Night Exhibition

The Golden Knights men's water polo team will play its first and only two home games of the 2018 campaign this Friday, Sept. 28 at the Carneval Athletic Pavilion Pool. Gannon begins its home slate against Penn State Behrend at 5:00 p.m. before hosting Mount San Antonio for Senior Night in an exhibition match at 8:00 p.m. The Golden Knights picked up three wins this past weekend in West Virginia against Washington & Jefferson (19-6), Monmouth College (20-7) and McKendree (19-9). Thomas Squeglia (Erie, Pa./Cathedral Prep) (28 G, 22 A) leads the team with 50 points is perhaps the most dynamic offensive threat for the Golden Knights while goalkeeper Brett Rehrer (Chino Hills, Calif./Chino Hills) has made 146 saves this season. Gannon has scored 20 or more goals in two matches this season while holding 10 opponents to 10 goals or less.

The Gannon men's soccer team follows up its string of PSAC contests with a non-conference tilt against Urbana on Saturday, Sept. 29 at 2:00 p.m. Urbana (5-2-1, 4-1-1 MEC) will compete in a midweek clash with Notre Dame College (Ohio) on Wednesday before traveling to Erie. Gannon goalkeeper Hedi Mehnaoui (Paris, France/Lycee Chevrollier) has not allowed a goal since September 12 against Daemen and leads the PSAC with three complete game shutouts. Jasminko Dizdarevic leads the Blue Knights offensive attack with five goals, 11 points and 23 shots this season.
 
 
Gannon Women's Soccer Set to Host Lock Haven Saturday Afternoon

The Gannon women's soccer team will play a PSAC match against Lock Haven on Saturday at 3 p.m. Gannon enters the weekend with a 4-3-1 record with a 3-3-1 mark in the PSAC. Lock Haven is 4-2-1 on the year and in PSAC play. Junior Taylor Lewis (Erie, Pa./Harbor Creek) owns 15 points on six goals and three assists. She recorded a goal and assist on September 23 in the 2-2 tie against Slippery Rock. Junior Haleigh Swam leads the Bald Eagles with six goals on the year, while senior Gabby Kishbaugh and senior Jordan Shoff have three apiece.
