  • How It Happened: Gannon came up on the short end of a 70-52 score against Bowie State at the Lady Bulldog Classic (12/29/2010). Julie Kleber had a career-high 21 points as Gannon's only double-digit scorer of the night.
 
GANNON STORYLINES/NOTES
  • Gannon is off to a hot start, beginning the season with a 3-0 record for the first time since the 2015-16 season.
  • Chelsea Rourke (Gibsonia, Pa./Pine-Richland) scored a career-high 20 points on Wednesday in the 80-63 road win at Fairmont State.
  • Through the first three games of the season, Rourke is averaging 17 points, eight rebounds and 2.7 blocks per game.
  • Nicole LaCava (Hermitage, Pa./Hickory) picked up right where she left off last season, averaging 12 points and seven rebounds per contest.  
  • Sydney Mitchell (Halethorpe, Md./Seton Keough), Tori Obenrader (Fryburg, Pa./North Clarion) and Boston McKinney (Bolivar, Ohio/Tuscarawas Valley) have each chipped in an even 10 points per game.
  • McKinney was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Freshman of the Week on Monday after posting double-figure scoring outputs in both of Gannon's wins in the PSAC/CIAA Conference Challenge last weekend.
  • Gannon is shooting an impressive 48.9 percent on the year, including 32.1 percent from beyond the arc. The team shot 50.9 percent from the field in the win at Fairmont State. 
  • The Lady Knights have come out strong in the second half during the last three games, outscoring opponents 61-38 in the third quarter.
  • Gannon was picked to finish fifth in the PSAC West preseason poll.
 
SCOUTING BOWIE STATE
  • Bowie State is 2-1 in head coach Shadae Swan's fifth season at the helm (56-42).
  • The Bulldogs reached the finals of the CIAA tournament last season after winning its final five games of the regular season.
  • Kyaja Williams and Pere Alexander are averaging a combined 33.0 points per game.
  • Alexander has recorded back-to-back double-doubles, notching 18 points and 10 rebound in each of the last two games.
  • Bowie State was picked to finish fifth overall in the preseason CIAA poll.
