GANNON TEAM NOTES
  • Gannon is competing as a team at the national championships for the third time in the last four seasons.
  • It's the second-straight season that the Lady Knights will take on the Baylor Lady Bears in the National Quarterfinals match.
  • The Individual Event Finals will be on Saturday, April 29, at 1 p.m. (EST) 
  • The No.7 seed the Lady Knights received is tied for the highest seeding in program history. Gannon was also seeded seventh in their first-ever championship berth in 2014.
  • The Lady Knights have had three Athlete of the Week awards this season. Michaela Soper (Fallston, Md./Fallston) was named the NCATA Athlete of the Week on Feb. 12, while Jessica Page (Eden, N.Y./Eden) was named ECAC Athlete of the Week on Mar. 13 and Hayley Nejman (Erie, Pa./Villa Maria Academy) on Apr. 18.
  • Gannon scored a program-record 274.240 points in their last meet at Hawaii Pacific on Apr. 14.
  • Gannon and Baylor are meeting up for the second time this season. The Lady Bears won the first contest in Waco, Texas on Mar. 26, 287.825-272.320.
  • The Lady Knights joined Alderson-Broaddus, King and Quinnipiac after the 2016 season forming the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC). It's the first-ever acrobatics and tumbling conference.
  • Gannon defeated King, 272.765-268.255, on Mar. 11 for the team's first conference victory
