The Short Story: The Gannon men's soccer team picked up a non-conference victory after an Alex Schroeck (Erie, Pa./Mercyhurst Prep) goal in the 99^th minute lifted the Golden Knights over the District of Columbia, 2-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The District of Columbia got on the board first in the match; Gabriel Torres deposited his second goal of the season in the 46^th minute.
Hamza Mourchid (Hombourg-Haut, France/Poncelet) tallied the equalizer in the 53^rd minute as he weaved past a defender and notched his 10^th goal of the season.
In overtime, freshman Alex Schroeck (Erie, Pa./Mercyhurst Prep) smashed the game-winner past the UDC goalie in the 99^th minute to lift the Gannon Golden Knights to victory.

GAME NOTES

Hamza Mourchid (Hombourg-Haut, France/Poncelet)'s 10 season goals is tied for the NCAA Division II men's soccer lead in that category.
Gannon outshot the District of Columbia, 12-10.
Jorge Hernandez (Atvidaberg, Sweden/Bildningscentrum Facetten) picked up the goalie win to improve to 3-1-1 this season.
