The Short Story:Â The Seton Hill Griffins' second-half push was enough to defeat Gannon, 62-49, in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division game, Saturday evening at the Hammermill Center on the campus of Gannon University.

Click HereHOW IT HAPPENED:- Amanda Berchtold put Gannon on the board first with the opening layup 16 seconds into the game.
- Seton Hill tied the game up, 2-2, at the 7:18 mark with a lay-up from Jenna Kaufman.
- Halie Torris' three-pointer gave the Griffins a one-point lead, 5-4, with 6:09 left in the first quarter.
- Seton Hill then went on a small 2-1 run to lead 7-5 with 2:34 showing on the clock.
- The Lady Knights closed the first quarter with a 6-1 run to lead 11-8.
- With 6:16 left on the clock in the second quarter, the Lady Knights took a 10-point lead (20-10), which included five points from Morgan Neighbors.
- LaShawna Gatewood hit back-to-back buckets to extended Gannon's lead 22-10 with 4:58 remaining.
- The Lady Knights went into the locker room leading, 32-10.
- The Griffins began to chip away at Gannon's 10-point lead, trailing 32-25 with 8:12 left in the third quarter.
- The Lady Knights though continued to carry momentum to lead 39-25 with 6:12 left.
- Trailing, Alexandra Hay would hit back-to-back buckets for SHU to trail 39-29.
- Seton Hill closed the third quarter with an 11-2 run to trail the Lady Knights by four points (44-40).
- The Griffins opened the fourth quarter going on a 17-0 run, before Gatewood sank a lay-up at the 2:44 mark (57-46).
- Neighbors hit a three-pointer at the 2:11 mark, before Seton Hill went on for the 62-49 victory.Â
BEYOND THE BOX:- This is Gannon's first lost at the Hammermill Center since Nov. 28, 2015 against Grand Valley State, 80-76.
- The Lady Knights haven't scored less than 50 points since January 3, 2015 when they lost to Millersville (57-31).
- Neighbors led scorers on both sides with 17 points, while Jennie Thies chipped in with nine points and 11 rebounds.
- Gatewood set a new career and season-high with eight points for Gannon.
- Gannon shot 34.5 percent (10-55) from the field, 25 percent (4-16) from beyond the arc and was 50 percent (7-14) from the free throw line.
- Seton Hill was led by Jenna Kaufman with a team-high 16 points and seven rebounds.
- Alexandra Hay chipped in with 12 points, six assists and was 2-of-4 from beyond the arc.
- The Griffins shot 40.7 percent (24-59) from the field, 40 percent (6-15) from the arc and was 72.7 percent (8-11) from the charity stripe.
UP NEXT:- The Lady Knights roll up hill to rival Merychurst on Wednesday evening, as part of a PSAC double-header with the men's team.
