TUESDAY STORYLINES
  • Gannon has been ranked No. 1 in the last four National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Top 25 Polls, representing its first No. 1 ranking in the program's 29-year history. New national rankings will be released Tuesday afternoon while PSAC quarterfinal matches are in progress.
  • Both programs come into the PSAC quarterfinal match-up with NCAA Tournament aspirations. Gannon has been the region's top-ranked team in the first two NCAA Division II Atlantic regional rankings. Bloomsburg was ranked sixth in the initial regional rankings, before dropping to seventh last week. Six teams from the Atlantic Region qualify for the NCAA postseason.
  • Gannon was the only program at any level of the NCAA without a loss or tie until a 4-2 loss at East Stroudsburg in the regular-season finale last Friday.
  • The Lady Knights won their first 17 matches for the first time ever, becoming only the third PSAC team to ever win 17 consecutive matches.
  • Gannon has reached double digits in victories during three of the last four seasons.
  • The Lady Knights continue to add to their school record for victories in a season, surpassing the previous mark set by the 2012 team that finished 13-4-2.
  • Gannon has allowed one goal or less during 17 of 18 matches.
  • Junior Shannon Differ is tied with Kerri Shaughnessy (1998-99) and Sabrina Chirco (2006-10) for most victories (24) by a goalkeeper in program history.
  • Senior Mani Brueckner is Gannon's all-time leader in points (131) and assists (43). She ranks second all-time at Gannon with 44 goals, sitting seven goals behind Amanda Sharbaugh's (2008-11) school record.
  • Gannon won 17 straight matches prior to last Friday's setback, shattering the program's previous record of six in a row accomplished in 1998 and 1999.
  • Brueckner leads Gannon in goals (16) and points (38) this season. She needs one more of each to tie the program's single-season records set by Sharbaugh in 2011.
  • Bloomsburg concluded the regular season with three consecutive shutouts against Indiana (Pa.) (2-0), Chestnut Hill (1-0) and Clarion (1-0).
  • The Huskies are 7-1-1 at home, but only 4-5 on the road this season.
  • Bloomsburg ranks second among PSAC teams in shutout percentage (.471).

UP NEXT
  • If Gannon is able to win Tuesday's PSAC Quarterfinal, it will host the conference final four this weekend. The PSAC semifinals are scheduled for Friday, November 6 with the championship match slated for Sunday, November 8.
  • If Bloomsburg wins, the Huskies will head to the PSAC Final Four hosted by the top remaining seed.
  • The NCAA Division II Tournament Selection Show can be seen live Monday, November 9 at www.ncaa.com. The show begins at 6:30 p.m.
