Meet: Carnegie Mellon Quad-Meet
Location: Pittsburgh, Pa.
The Short Story – The Gannon men's swim team was swept by Clarion (164-129), NCAA Division III Case Western Reserve (194-98) and host Carnegie Mellon (229-68), Saturday afternoon in Pittsburgh, Pa.  Gannon tallied 14 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) qualifying times.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• The Golden Knights had 14 swimmers with PSAC qualifying times.
• Allan Collins (East Amherst, N.Y./Canisius) finished second in the 100-yard freestyle with a conference qualifying time of .48.92. Followed by Matt Loughner (Jeannette, Pa. / Penn-Trafford) who finished eighth with a PSAC time of .50.18.
• Nils Groeppler (Bergkamen, Germany/Willy Brandt) took home another second place finish in the 100-yard butterfly shaving 20 milliseconds off his time at Cleveland State, for a time of 51.24 and PSAC qualifying time.
• Collins earned his second PSAC time of the meet in the 200-yard freestyle with a fifth place finish (1:48.38).
• Jonathan Garich (Erie, Pa./Cathedral Prep) earned his first conference qualifying time in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:02.46 and a fifth place finish respectively.
• Nils, Cole Davis (Millersburg, Pa./Millersburg) and Noah Donovan (Ellwood City, Pa./Laurel) each earned PSAC qualifying times in the 200-yard butterfly.
