The Short Story: Facing an NCAA Division I opponent for the second straight dual, the Gannon men's swimming team dropped a 176-108 decision to host Cleveland State at the Robert F. Busbey Natatorium Friday evening. The Golden Knights were led by junior
Denys Fedorchenko (Zaporizhia, Ukraine/Zaporizkiy Collegium #83), who claimed first-place finishes in the 1000-yard freestyle and 400-yard IM on Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC)-qualifying times. The Golden Knights collected 28 PSAC-standard times in the dual.
Results: Click Here Top-Finishes:- Fedorchenko led the Golden Knights' effort once again. A double-winner, Fedorchenko claimed the top spot in the 1000-yard freestyle (10:06.49) and 400-yard IM (4:13.41). He posted PSAC-qualifying times in each first-place finish.

Mike Lawrence (Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario / Notre-Dame-des-Grands-Lacs) captured first in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:14.80) with a conference-qualifying time. It marked the second time this season that he has earned first place in the event.

Cole Davis (Millersburg, Pa. / Millersburg) touched first (1:56.89) on a conference-qualifying time.

Noah Donovan (Ellwood City, Pa./Laurel) and
Adam Chrzanowski (Erie, Pa. / Cathedral Prep) each posted three conference times. The pair also earned two runner-ups finishes each. Chrzanowski's second-place performances came in the 100-yard freestyle (47.43) and 200-yard freestyle (1:45.20). Donovan claimed second in the 100-yard butterfly (53.64) and 400-yard IM (4:22.86).

Drew Wolter (Clarksville, Md. / Atholton) met PSAC standards in four events including the 200-yard freestyle, 500-yard freestyle, 1000-yard freestyle and as lead in the 200-yard freestyle relay team.
- The Golden Knights move to 1-1 in dual action against NCAA Division I opponents. The previous week, GU rallied for a 104-101 win over Canisius in a virtual meet.
