– The No. 25 Gannon women's basketball team heads to Indiana (Pa.) Saturday evening for a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division matchup at the Kovalchick Complex against the undefeated Crimson Hawks. The tip is set for 7 p.m. The Lady Knights face the conference's top-defense and third-best offense that has strung together six straight victories to open the regular season for the fourth consecutive campaign. Both teams enter the game unbeaten in PSAC action with the Lady Knights boasting a 3-0 mark and the Crimson Hawks at 2-0.

- Among PSAC team leaders, the Crimson Hawks own the top-ranked defense (53.8 points per game) and the third-best offense (79.5 points per game).
- In recent action, the host Crimson Hawks dominated Mercyhurst, 65-45, in conference play Dec. 3. Ashley Stoner and Lindsay Stamp each collected double-doubles in the win. Stamp scored a game-high 23 points and pulled down 10 rebounds, while Stoner recorded 14 points and 11 boards.
- Stamp currently leads all PSAC scorers, averaging 22.8 points per game. Stoner does not trail far behind among the conference leader, occupying 13th with an average of 15.0 points per contest. Stoner (2nd, .596) and Stamp (.490, 7th) both rank in the league's top-10 field-goal percentage shooters. Stamp also ranks second (.541) in three-point field goal percentage with Leslie Stapleton joining her on the list at third (.462).
- Second-year head coach Tom McConnell leads the Crimson Hawks. In his first year, McConnell directed the team to a PSAC Tournament quarterfinal appearance.
- McConnell is joined by two first-year assistant coaches this season. Former Penn State standout and Big Ten all-time scoring leader Kelly Mazzante joins his staff, as well as Jaclyn Babe, who previously played at Central Connecticut State and Duquesne.
SERIES HISTORY- Gannon and Indiana (Pa.) share a 15-15 record in the all-time series. The Lady Knights have claimed five straight wins against the Crimson Hawks with two of the victories on the road at the Kovalchick Complex.

- Since joining the PSAC in the 2008-09 season, the Lady Knights have posted a 10-6 record against the Crimson Hawks. GU has swept the last two regular-season series.
LOOKING BACKRecording its best shooting performance of the season, the No. 25 Gannon women's basketball team relied on a team effort to capture a 72-45 win over Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division opponent Clarion Dec. 3, at the Hammermill Center. The lead never changed hands as the Lady Knights continued to build on their advantage throughout the game eventually taking a 37-point lead late in the second half. In a team effort, 10 of 12 Lady Knights contributed offensively. For the fourth consecutive season, the Lady Knights open conference action with a 3-0 mark.

USA Today Sports Division II Coaches' Polls dating back to the 2011-12 campaign and has received votes in the national poll at some point during each of the last eight seasons. The Lady Knights opened the 2014-15 season ranked 13th in the USA Today Sports Division II Preseason Top-25 Poll.

Brittany Batts (Leesburg, Va. / Loudoun County) has been nominated for the 2015 Allstate Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Good Works Team, as announced by the WBCA and Allstate Dec. 3. Batts joins 93 nominees from all levels of women's college basketball, who have made significant contributions to the greater good of their communities through volunteerism and civic service.

Nettie Blake (Jersey City, N.J./Marist) continues to climb her way up the program's all-time list in multiple categories. Among all-time career leaders in program history, she ranks fifth in most rebounds (790) and seventh in most free throws made (286). She continues to move up multiple other career lists, compiling 1,216 points, 64 blocked shots and 465 field goals made. She recorded double-figure rebounds in six consecutive games that dated back from last season's NCAA Atlantic Regional semifinal against Edinboro until the team's meeting at Grand Valley State this season.
FAST BREAK POINTS- Junior
Amanda Berchtold (Erie, Pa./Mercyhurst Prep) leads the PSAC in assists per game (6.0) and assist/turnover ratio (3.6). Berchtold ranks second in total assists (36).
- Among PSAC rebounding leaders, Blake sits atop two categories. She is first in rebounds per game (12.0) and offensive boards (30). The senior also ranks fifth all-time at Gannon in rebounds (790) and 13th in career points (1,216).
- Batts occupies third all-time at Gannon with 250 career three-pointers. She needs 50 to break Jacki Windon's school record of 299. She also only needs 25 points to become the 26th Lady Knight in school history to record 1,000-career points. Batts ranks sixth among conference leaders in three-point field goal percentage (.394) and three-pointer field goals per game (2.2).
NEXT UPThe Lady Knights will enjoy over a week off from action before playing three games in five days heading into the holiday break. On Dec. 16 and 17, the Lady Knights host East Stroudsburg followed by West Chester in a PSAC doubleheader. Both games are slated for at 5:30 p.m. Following the two-game homestand, the team travels to Cheyney Dec. 20, to conclude the stretch of games. The tip is set for 1 p.m.
