Gannon-Mercyhurst History: Gannon has won the last three encounters against Mercyhurst and leads the all-time series 14-5. The last two meetings have been tight affairs with Gannon winning both by one goal. The Lady Knights posted a 12-11 home victory in 2011, before securing a 14-13 win last season at Mercyhurst. The current three-match win streak in the series began with Gannon winning at Mercyhurst 15-9 during the 2010 PSAC Quarterfinals.

PSAC Tournament Format: The top six teams will qualify for the PSAC Tournament with the top two receiving first-round byes. The PSAC Quarterfinals are scheduled for Tuesday, April 30 with the third seed hosting the sixth seed and the fourth seed hosting the fifth seed. The regular-season champion will host the PSAC Final Four May 3-4.

PSAC Tournament Implications: Gannon can clinch a PSAC Tournament spot with one victory during its last two regular-season matches against Mercyhurst and Indiana (Pa.). The Lady Knights can also clinch a spot with a Shippensburg loss to either Millersville or East Stroudsburg this week. Gannon has qualified for the PSAC Tournament every year since it joined the league in 2009-10. The Lady Knights are still mathematically alive for a PSAC quarterfinal home match. Gannon would have to win its last two matches, Mercyhurst would have to lose its final two matches and Gannon would have to defeat Mercyhurst Wednesday by at least 12 goals for that scenario to happen. Meanwhile, the visiting Lakers also have postseason implications surrounding Wednesday's match. Mercyhurst has already clinched a PSAC Tournament spot, but is looking to lock up a quarterfinal home match. The Lakers can clinch a home match with one victory during their last two matches and currently sits only one match out of second place which guarantees a bye into the conference semifinals.
