NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Elite Eight Information and Media Outlets Released; Viewing Party Announced

Gannon fans will be able to follow the Lady Knights' Elite Eight games via television, radio, Webcasts and several Internet sites.


ERIE, Pa. – Fans will have the ability to follow the Gannon women's basketball team's journey to the 2013 NCAA Division II Elite Eight in San Antonio, Texas through several different outlets.

Gannon faces Ashland Tuesday, March 26 in the national quarterfinals at Bill Greehey Arena on the campus of St. Mary's University. Gannon is ranked seventh in the latest USA Today Sports Division II Coaches' Poll. Ashland is tabbed second in the national rankings after being the nation's top-ranked program for the first 12 polls of the season. Game time is scheduled for 9:30 p.m. eastern standard time.

There will be a viewing party for all Gannon fans Tuesday night at the Knight Club, located at Fourth and Sassafras Streets. If the Knight Club reaches capacity, a second viewing party will be held in the Yehl Ballroom of the Waldron Center.

For those wishing to view the quarterfinal game from the comfort of their own home, the NCAA will Webcast the contest live at http://www.ncaa.com/liveschedule/2013/03/26. All NCAA Elite Eight Webcasts will be available at http://www.ncaa.com/liveschedule by clicking on the correct date at the top of the page. Tuesday's Gannon-Ashland video will only be available via the NCAA Webcast or at the Gannon viewing party.

In addition to the NCAA Webcasts, the national semifinals and championship game will be available nationally on the CBS Sports Network. Locally, it can be viewed with Time Warner on channel 322 and HD 1322. The CBS Sports Network is located on DIRECTV channel 613 as part of the Choice Extra Package and on Dish Network channel 158 as part of the Classic Silver 200 Package.

Fans can hear every Gannon game live on 90.5 WERG and via the Internet at http://www.wergfm.com. Director of Athletics Media Relations Dan Teliski will handle the play-by-play duties.
