INDIANA, Pa. - The No. 24 Gannon women's soccer team returned to Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action with a 1-0 loss to the Indiana (Pa.) Crimson Hawks at South Campus Field on Tuesday evening. The Lady Knights slide to 8-5-1 overall and 8-4-1 in league action with the Crimson Hawks improving to 8-6-1 on the season and 6-6-1 in conference play.
After playing most of the first half scoreless, the Lady Knights and Crimson Hawks continued to battle for possession. In the 40th minute of play, the Crimson Hawks managed to break the scoreless contest off a Lady Knight mistake. On a cross pass from the Crimson Hawks' Brittney Kuhns, the ball careened off a Gannon defender and into their own net for an Indiana (Pa.) 1-0 lead.
The two teams recorded only 14 combined shots, as Indiana (Pa.) outshot Gannon, 9-5.

Britney Barry (Sydney, Australia / St. Andrews Lutheran College).
Senior goalkeeper
Sarah Geffel (Apollo, Pa. / Kiski Area) recorded the loss with six saves.
No. 24 Gannon will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 26 when the Lady Knights host Clarion at 2 p.m.
