Gannon Women's Soccer Team Hosts Rival Edinboro Wednesday Night in PSAC Showdown

ERIE, Pa. – The Gannon women's soccer team returns home Wednesday, September 19 for a brief one-match homestand against rival Edinboro at Gannon University Field. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m.

Gannon-Edinboro History: Gannon leads the all-time series 9-6-2. The Lady Knights posted a 2-1 victory last season at Gannon University Field, overcoming a 1-0 halftime deficit with a pair of second-half goals from Justine Rodrigues. Gannon is 3-0-2 during the last five matches in the series dating back to 2008. The Fighting Scots have not won a match in the series at Gannon University Field since a 4-1 verdict on October 11, 2006.

  • Gannon had a season-opening five-match win streak snapped last Saturday with a 3-2 loss at East Stroudsburg. The Lady Knights' 5-0 start was the best in school history.
  • The Lady Knights opened the season with five consecutive shutouts, setting a school record for most consecutive shutouts. The previous mark of four was set by the 2011 team from October 5-14.
  • Gannon did not allow a goal for the first 459 minutes and 31 seconds of the season until East Stroudsburg scored 1:34 into Saturday's game.
  • Five different Lady Knights have scored game-winning goals - Valloud, Brueckner, Rodrigues, Michelle Genetin and Jordan Rickan.
  • Gannon leads all NCAA Division II programs in shutout percentage (.833).
  • Brueckner ranks fourth nationally in assists (5) and seventh in assists per match (0.83).
