Complete Event-by-Event Results

GAMBIER, Ohio – The Gannon swim teams won five events and recorded 33 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) qualifying times Saturday afternoon at the Kenyon Quad Meet with Grove City and Case Western Reserve.

The women's team defeated Case Western Reserve 159-134, but dropped a close 142-138 decision to Grove City and a 163-113 loss to Kenyon. The men's squad out-swam Grove City 192-88, before falling to Case Western Reserve (194-100) and Kenyon (176-103).

Michelle Fischl (Greensburg, Pa./Greensburg Salem) and Morgan Lydic (Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio/Cuyahoga Falls) were individual winners on the women's side. Fischl won the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of one minute and 9.2 seconds. Lydic touched the wall first in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 53.53 seconds.

Lydic also joined Katie Joseph (McDonald, Ohio/McDonald), Madeline Summers (Lake Stevens, Wash./Lake Stevens) and Shanen Lazenby (Erie, Pa./McDowell) to win the final event of the night. The foursome produced the winning 400-yard freestyle relay time of three minutes and 38.04 seconds.

The men's team matched the women with two individual champions. Mike Lawrence (Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario/Notre-Dame-des-Grands-Lacs) was the best in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of nine minutes and 53.58 seconds. Ethan Chase (Erie, Pa./Cathedral Prep) was No. 1 in the 100-yard butterfly, securing a time of 51.86 seconds.
