GREENSBURG, Pa. – The No. 15 Gannon women's basketball team scored the first seven points of the game and never looked back en route to a convincing 80-55 non-conference victory Friday evening at Seton Hill.

Doriyon Glass (Boardman, Ohio/Boardman) opened the festivities with a three-pointer 1:01 into the contest. The sophomore followed with a lay-up, before Nettie Blake's (Jersey City, N.J./Marist) lay-up capped the opening 7-0 run.

Seton Hill momentarily stopped the bleeding with a three-pointer of its own, but Gannon kept its offense rolling with another nine straight points. Brittany Batts (Leesburg, Va./Loudoun County) sandwiched a Kelley Sundberg (Mansfield, Conn./E.O. Gannon's lead remained in double digits for the remainder of the half. The club's largest lead of the first half came at 19 points on two occasions. The first time was 31-12 after Jen Papich (Pittsburgh, Pa/Fox Chapel) followed another Batts three-pointer with a lay-up. Mollie Sebald's (Broadview Heights, Ohio/Holy Name) jumper with five seconds left sent the Lady Knights into the intermission with a 19-point lead at 42-23.

Seton Hill was never able to make a game of it during the second half. Gannon's lead remained in double digits for the entire 20 minutes. The Lady Knights never led by less than 14 points. Morgan Neighbors' (Westerville, Ohio/Westerville South) lay-up with 30 ticks left in the game produced the final score and the biggest lead of the evening at 80-55.

Papich headlined the offensive attack with her first double-double of the season, scoring 12 points and hauling down 11 rebounds. Batts netted 13 points off the bench, hitting 4-of- 8 shots.

In all, five Lady Knights reached double digits in scoring. Sebald, Blake and Candice Hendricks (Randallstown, Md./McDonogh) chipped in 10 points each.
