ERIE, Pa. – The Gannon women's basketball team will travel to Lock Haven for a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) matchup on Saturday, January 28. The contest against the Lady Eagles is set to start at 1 p.m.
 
The Lady Knights enter the contest with a 14-3 overall record and an 11-2 mark in conference play. Gannon has won three straight since their 57-56 last-second win over rival Mercyhurst.
 
Five Lady Knights reached double digits in scoring during a 79-62 win over Slippery Rock on Wednesday. It marked the fourth time this season five or more Lady Knights reached double digits, all Gannon wins. The Lady Knights' 53.3 percent shooting from long range was a season-best mark.
 
Kelley Sundberg (Mansfield, Conn. / E.O. Smith) ranks third in the PSAC and 16th in the country in assists per game (5.5).  The sophomore has dished out six or more assists nine times this season. As a team Gannon ranks second in the PSAC and 12th in the country with Jen Papich (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Fox Chapel) and Doriyon Glass (Boardman, Ohio / Boardman) both averaging better than two assists per game.
 
Lock Haven (7-9, 6-7) is led by Peaches Nesmith and Sharay Hall who average 15.6 and 12.2 points respectively. The Lady Eagles starting lineup features four seniors and one sophomore.
 
Gannon and Lock Haven will face off for the 18th time in the history of the series. The Lady Knights hold a 10-7 overall edge, having won eight straight over the Lady Eagles.
