LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Gannon women's water polo team suffered losses in its first two matches of the season at the Bucknell Tournament Saturday afternoon. Gannon lost to Bucknell 11-1 and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps 12-3.

In the opening match against Bucknell, the Bison jumped out to an 8-1 lead at the half. Bucknell held the Lady Knights scoreless in the second half while scoring six goals. The Bison earned their second win of the season by an 11-1 final. Gannon's lone goal came from Kelsey Rzymek (Erie, Pa. / McDowell).

In the nightcap, Gannon scored three times in the first half, but failed to add to the score in the second half as Claremont-Mudd-Scripps out-scored the Lady Knights 6-0. Gannon trailed 4-1 after the first quarter and played an even 2-2 second quarter before Claremont-Mudd-Scripps blanked Gannon 4-0 in the third.

For Gannon Rzymek added her second goal of the day while Bailey Gadd (Golden, Colo. / Lakewood) scored the Lady Knights other two goals. 

The Lady Knights return to tournament action tomorrow with games against Siena College and Wagner College scheduled for 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. respectively.
