ERIE, Pa. - The Gannon women's soccer team looks to snap a five-match winless streak Wednesday, September 29 when it hosts No. 13 Bloomsburg at Gannon University Field. The contest kicks off a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) doubleheader at 5 p.m., followed by the men's match at 7 p.m.

Gannon brings a 2-4-2 overall record and 1-4-1 PSAC mark into Wednesday's contest. The Lady Knights are looking for their first victory since a 4-1 decision at Mansfield September 10. The squad is 0-2 against top-25 teams this season, falling to No. 25 Kutztown (4-2) and No. 7 California (Pa.) (2-0).
Amanda Sharbaugh (Sarver, Pa./Knoch) has scored seven of Gannon's 12 goals this season. The junior needs two scores to tie Erin Cray's (1997-00) school record of 34 career goals. She ranks 20th among all NCAA Division II players in goals scored.
Sabrina Chirco (Brampton, Ontario/St. Thomas Aquinas) has played every minute in goal, posting a 1.54 goals against average and .783 save percentage.
Bloomsburg is undefeated this season, owning a 5-0-1 overall record and 4-0 conference slate. The Huskies are ranked 13th in the latest National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Top 25 Poll and second in the latest NSCAA Atlantic regional rankings. The squad has won four consecutive matches against Edinboro (5-1), Slippery Rock (2-1), Lock Haven (2-0) and West Chester (2-0).
Junior Katie Walczuk, freshman Tara Huber and senior Kelsey Stoka headline the Bloomsburg offensive unit with four goals each. Junior Frances Nicoletti has a 0.48 goals against average and .917 save percentage, turning away 33 of 36 shots this season.
