ERIE, Pa. - The Gannon men's soccer team will conclude a three-match homestand Wednesday evening when they will host Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) foe Bloomsburg at Gannon University Field. The game is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. following the conclusion of the Gannon-Bloomsburg women's soccer match.

Gannon has moved up one spot this week to third in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Atlantic regional rankings released Tuesday afternoon. The Golden Knights also moved their way into the national rankings and currently sit 17th in the poll.
Gannon will be looking for its eighth straight victory, matching a run last accomplished during the final eight games of the 1999 season. Gannon won twice in convincing fashion last week, improving to 7-1 this season with a 3-0 win over Wheeling Jesuit before defeating Lake Erie 6-0.
Gannon has one of the top offenses in the nation this season ranking first among NCAA Division II schools in total goals (27) and fourth in the in goals per game (3.38). Gannon is also one of only 15 Division II schools with a won-loss-tied percentage of .875 of higher.
Senior
Afrim Latifi (Erie, Pa / Cathedral Prep) also ranks in several national categories including tied for fifth in total assists (5) and tied for seventh in total points (17).
Evan Chate (Vendays-Montalivet, France / Odilon Redon) is second on the team with 12 points and is currently tied for 17th in the country in assists (4).
Bloomsburg is 3-3-1 on the season and 1-1 in PSAC matches. The Huskies are led by Bryce Shaffer's six goals this season. Francis Miller leads the team in assists with five. Bernie Roell and Ramon Lobo have shared time in goal this season with Roell logging 197:29 minutes with a .91 goals against average and .857 save percentage. Lobo has 380 minutes in goal with a 2.13 goals against average and a .690 save percentage.
Gannon last played Bloomsburg in 2008 defeating them 4-0 thanks to Latifi's first collegiate hat trick.
