ERIE, Pa. - The Gannon women's soccer team will attempt to win its fifth consecutive match against Clarion when it hosts the Golden Eagles Saturday, September 25 at Gannon University Field. Game time is scheduled for 1 p.m. The contest kicks off a doubleheader that concludes with the Gannon men's team entertaining Lake Erie at 3 p.m.

Gannon brings a 2-3-2 overall record and 1-3-1 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) mark into Saturday's affair. The Lady Knights are winless in their last four matches, including a 2-2 tie against Edinboro last Wednesday. The Fighting Scots erased a 2-0 deficit with two goals in the final 5:55 of regulation.
Amanda Sharbaugh (Sarver, Pa./Knoch) leads the PSAC in goals (7) and points (15).
Sarah Deck (Hamilton, Ontario/Bishop Ryan Catholic S.S.) has added two goals.
Sabrina Chirco (Brampton, Ontario/St. Thomas Aquinas) has played every minute in goal, posting a 1.48 goals against average and .810 save percentage. She ranks second among PSAC goalkeepers in saves and fifth in shutouts (2).
Clarion snapped a two-match losing streak with an impressive 1-0 shutout of Mercyhurst last Wednesday. The Golden Eagles are 2-3-1 overall and 2-1 in conference play.
Freshman Amanda Lewis, sophomore Bethany Naugle and freshman Jordan Bahr lead the Clarion offense with two goals each. Senior Jenna Kulik has a 1.67 goals against average and .762 save percentage between the pipes.
Gannon has swept two matches from Clarion the last two seasons, winning home-and-away series both years. The Lady Knights are 7-2 all-time against the Golden Eagles.
