NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Elite Eight Information Released

The Gannon faithful sold out the Hammermill Center Monday night and will now descend upon St. Joseph, Missouri for the Elite Eight.
ERIE, Pa. - Complete information on dates, times, tickets, hotels, bus trips and everything else regarding the NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Elite Eight March 23-26 in St. Joseph, Missouri has been released.

The No. 1 Gannon women's basketball team will face Southeast Regional champion Tusculum (Tenn.) in the NCAA Division II Quarterfinals Tuesday, March 23 at 6 p.m. local time (7 p.m. Eastern). A live video Webcast will be available online at http://www.ncaa.com. The national semifinals (Wednesday, March 24) will be aired live on ESPNU and the NCAA Division II National Championship (Friday, March 26) can be seen live on ESPN2.

All Gannon games can be heard live on 90.5 WERG and via the Internet at http://www.gannon.edu/athletics/werg/knightsound.html.

An official NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Elite Eight Web site has been set up at http://www.ncaa.com/sports/w-baskbl/champpage/w-baskbl-div2-index.html. The site includes all information regarding the event such as tickets, hotels, directions, area attractions, schedules, etc. Results throughout the week can also be found on this site, as well as live gameday statistics through the Interactive bracket.

Gannon University is sponsoring a bus trip for any fan who would like to make the trip and cheer on the Lady Knights. The bus will leave Erie Monday, March 22 at 10 p.m. Complete information on costs, travel plans, etc. can be found by clicking here. The registration deadline is Friday, March 19 at 12 noon. Registration can be made online at the Web address previously listed or by contacting Lori Bly in University Advancement at (814) 871-7468.

Many options are also available for fans interested in making the trip, but not via the Gannon-sponsored bus. Tickets can be purchased in advance online at http://www.ncaa.com/tickets or by calling (816) 271-4717. All-session ticket packages range between $30 and $35. Tickets for only the NCAA Division II Quarterfinals cost $20 for general admission and $25 for premium reserved seating.

Will call will be available for any box office phone orders. The Civic Arena gates will open one hour prior to tip-off of the first session each day.

A block of rooms at two local hotel properties have been reserved for incoming fans. Fans are asked to mention the Elite Eight room block when they call. Contact information for hotel reservations can be found below.
