THOUSAND OAKS, Calif.-The Gannon women's water polo team won two matches Saturday, beating UC-Santa Cruz 9-6 and then defeating Cal Tech 18-2. Lauren Myrick (Erie, Pa./McDowell) scored a total of six goals in the pair of contests to lead the Lady Knights. 

In the first match, GU led 4-3 at the half, but a 3-0 third quarter advantage was all the Knights would need. Libbie Guina (Friendswood, Texas/Clear Brook) made five saves. Molly Andrews (Tustin, Calif./Tustin) scored three goals, while Katelyn Hansen (Erie, Pa./McDowell), Colleen Harriger (Erie, Pa./McDowell), and Myrick each tallied two scores. 

For the second time in three days, Gannon easily won over Cal Tech. Saturday, Myrick scored four goals and Liz Clary (Canton, Ohio/Glen Oak) added a hat trick of her own. Caitlyn Andrews (Tustin, Calif./Tustin) and Annie Greenhill (Brea, Calif./Brea Olinda) had two goals apiece for the Knights. Emily Ruck (Salem, Ore./South Salem) made four stops in net. 

Gannon is ranked 10th in the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Top 10 this week. The Knights are now 3-1 on the season. They next play in the University of Michigan Invitational. GU faces Michigan Friday, March 13, at 7 p.m.
