Martinez is expected to compete for playing time during her fourth season as a Lady Knight ... is also a member of the Gannon swim team.

2011: Recorded 13 steals, seven earned kickouts, five assists and two goals … dished out two assists against Chatham and NCAA Division I Iona … made two steals during a second encounter with Iona and again versus Penn State Behrend … scored her first goal of the season during a 17-7 victory against Notre Dame (Ohio) … added a season-high five steals against the Falcons … netted her second goal of the season during a 13-3 victory against Penn State Behrend … recorded two earned kickouts against rival Mercyhurst.

2010: Received the NCAA Division II Athletics Directors Association (ADA) Academic Achievement Award … named to the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) “Superior” academic team reserved for water polo student-athletes with a cumulative grade-point average between 3.41 and 3.70 … finished with six goals, five assists, six steals and seven earned kickouts … scored a season-high two goals against both Caltech and Penn State Behrend … added single scores against Penn State Behrend and Chatham.

2009: Scored three goals ... dished out three assists … took 14 shots … collected two steals … scored a season-high two goals during a victory against Caltech on March 5 … added another score during a second win against Caltech on March 7.

High School: Swam for head coach Cindy Woods at Keystone Oaks (Pa.) High School … was a three-sport athlete, lettering four times on the varsity level in swimming and playing two seasons on the varsity soccer team ... served as a swim team captain during her senior campaign ... was a four-year conference qualifier … earned a certificate for the professional rescuer from American Red Cross, a certificate of merit from Keystone Oaks and a certificate of merit from Dormont Boro … received the Outstanding Youth award … was a member of the honor roll.

Personal: Pre-Law/Legal Studies major ... has two sisters ... daughter of Linden and Carlos ... is a member of the Gannon Dean’s List and Legal Studies Club.
