Golden Knights Close Regular Season With Loss, WWPA Championships Next

GROVE CITY, PA- The Golden Knights fell to Saint Francis in their final regular season game of the season. Gannon closes the regular season with a 9-10 overall record, including a 1-3 mark in conference play. They'll gear up for WWPA Championships in two weeks.

The game started as a defensive battle, with the Golden Knights trailing 4-2 at the halftime break. Brigid Carmody (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) scored both first half tallies for the Golden Knights. Saint Francis would pull away late in the game with a 5-4 edge in the final period. 

Carmody led the way with four goals, while Maria Martinez (Barcelona, Spain/Jesuïtes Gràcia Col·legi Kostka) secured two goals and two assist for four total points. Izabella Trunzo (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) made ten saves in the game.
