ERIE, Pa. - The Gannon softball team will look to snap a six-game losing streak Tuesday, March 31 against one of the country's best teams at Gannon University Field. The Lady Knights, ranked eighth in the latest NCAA Division II Atlantic regional rankings, entertain No. 15 California (Pa.). The Vulcans are tabbed third in the latest regional rankings.

Gannon brings a 13-10 overall record and 0-2 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division mark into Tuesday's affair. The Lady Knights have dropped a season-high six straight games, including a pair of doubleheaders last weekend against Edinboro and Mansfield.
Four Lady Knights are hitting .300 or better, led by
Holli Michaels' (Tacoma, Wash/Curtis) .462 average.
Hannah Koenig (Erie, Pa./McDowell) is second on the team with a .354 mark.
Chastity Guerrero (Toledo, Ohio/St. Ursula Academy) and
Kara Hensley (Waterville, Ohio/Anthony Wayne) are hitting .344 and .343, respectively.
Kelsey Brickman (Sylvania, Ohio/Notre Dame Academy) has produced Gannon's lowest earned run average through 23 games. The junior owns a 3-3 record and 2.55 ERA while limiting opponents to a .271 average.
California (Pa.) enters Tuesday's twinbill with a 22-2 overall record and 4-0 PSAC West mark. The Vulcans have won seven consecutive games. The run includes doubleheader sweeps of Mercyhurst, Indiana (Pa.), and Slippery Rock.
Seven California (Pa.) starters are hitting .333 or better. Its three-person pitching staff has combined to produce a 22-2 record and 1.40 ERA.
